1. Personally, yes I think that media arts classes should be mandatory. I think they are important to students because media plays a major role in lives therefore, they should know how to create one. With a mandatory media art class students would be apply to learn how to create, critique, and be intrigued.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely think that media arts classes should be mandatory. In today's society technology is such an important factor, and classrooms are no exception. Students should be well rounded in technology and know the ins and outs. This is also beneficial for when they get into their careers they will have the tools and knowledge that they need.
ReplyDeleteI think that having a high school mentor in a middle or elementary classroom will have a huge impact on the children. They will look up the them and have that person there for them to support and encourage them in school. I was a mentor to a kindergarten girl and she benefited from the experience. I was able to help her learn her numbers, the alphabet, and writing her name. I feel that my time was well spend and if I can make a difference in her education by going into the class once a week is so worth it. In my highschool we had a program called "big brother, ig sister" and students would go to the elementary to mentor children. This is a great program! It will have a huge impact on a child if an older student mentors them in school.
ReplyDeleteI also feel that media art classes should be mandatory in school. Some art programs are being cut in elementary schools and I do not agree with that at all. Art is very important to the development of a child. Some children learn best while using art strategies in the classroom. The media art programs are important because it will help open thier minds into technology. This is another option to integrate technology into curriculum while being creative at the same time.
