  2. What is a wiki?

A wiki is a web site that allows anyone to comment and participate. The site can always be revised and changed by anyone at any time. The work "wiki" is a hawaiian word that means "fast". A wiki-pedia is an encyclopedia that anyone can add to, with no specific authors. The purpose is to share and create with others. It is a great way to involve students and create interactive activities for them. Parents can become involved with the classroom wiki as well.
